I almost went through the roof when I heard you bring up Event X. Thank g-d you didn’t spill it this early, so, good save. Or something.
Posted 13 Sep 2007 at 10:44 pm ¶In regards to the website. I think if you sit around in a room and try to get a new website by committee, 2 years from now we will still be talking about how the MCF site needs to be overhauled.
What Mike D. and LSC tried to do was to take some initiative and give back to the community and just get something done instead of talking about it.
We had all winter to put together a website and do all the things that we wanted to do to make it functional.
Instead there was a lot of talk about who should do it, who should maintain it, who should own it, etc.
So we wasted a lot of good months where the (volunteer) manpower that was going to put this site together had lots of time on their hands.
By the time all the talk about revamping the MCF site died down – the racing season was upon us and we had no time to invest in putting together a site that was useful.
There was an opportunity to build a new site and grow it organically into something that all the riders and promoters could have benefited from.
Instead we are just talking about it again. Opportunity lost.
