Thanks fellas for the comments. Yes, the biggest struggle in cleaning up the calendar for CX is moving dates on promoters. As in life, some people are more than accommodating while others don’t budge. More compromise or a beat down?
I had it in my head that we could do things like Hudson/Red Barn (Taylors Falls), and Powderhorn/Como… things that would allow people to travel to one location/area in MN for a weekend. Imagine being able to do a race and then not have to travel home or to another part of the state the following day?
We’ll get it all worked out. I think my biggest goal for next year is a beer sponsor for the series. Got to be a brewery/bar that will sponsor a big start/finish sign and a keg of beer for each event. (and a banner is a lot easier to haul then a dozen wood barriers).
BTW, even with MN-WI out, it might be filled with a local Mpls race to fill that weekend. I’ve got time to figure out how to get an event going that weekend so no one will miss out.
