I joined Loon State Cyclists before the 2006 season knowing little about the club other than that a few people I knew were members. The thing about LSC that was so surprising was that every time I went to a team event or talked to someone on the team they acted like they had known […]
I was talking with Super Rookie a while back about nothing important and he had asked me to write up a little something on tech (neutral) race support. I said alright let me think about it and I’ll get you something.
Technical support has historically been one of the most overlooked items for putting on […]
2007 State Criterium Champion Aric Hareland is making the jump to Team Synergy for the 2008 season. Hareland raced the 2007 season for Hollywood/Silver and enjoyed great success. Over the past two years Hareland has also made attempts at the 30+ competition at Superweek outside of Milwaukee. He won the competition in 2006 and finished […]
Once again, Rookie and Frye continue their interview with Dan Casper and Linda Sone at the MPLS Fire Department. Don’t give up after Frye wraps it up the first time, Linda comes back and finishes the interview.
Tomorrow turned into next week, that’s how it works here at BTDC.
No zingers, intro music, or anything else fun. This is the fire department and that type of stuff is not allowed.

This past Sunday I ventured out to the Bike Swap at the National Sports Center with the tape recorder in hand. The best part about the swap is that it is one of only the few times all year where most of the local cyclists are gathered in the same area with out the spectacle of a race going on in the background. In the course of an hour I was able to score interviews with a lot of the players of the Minnesota cycling scene and learn a lot about some upcoming events and the 2008 year.
The first interview is over 45minutes of hard hitting action with the likes of Ian Stanford (Grandstay), Brandon Gavic (Flanders), Doug and Dan Swanson (Grandstay). These four riders dish out the dirt like nobody’s business and tell the world who should be racing in the NVGP, who should buy their stuff, who gets dropped at Durand and bunch of other Cat1 gossip. You will want to listen to this one! […]

This week we have a fantastic interview with Jay “Hollywood” Henderson. He serenades us with his views on everything that you care about. Updates to other importing items are in the prelude. As always, give us your guesses on the intro music (Artist and Title). *Hint* - it is not a TV Show theme song.

Sheldon Brown: 1944 - 2008

I believe all categories would benefit from an adjustment, but I want to first focus on the Men 1/2 since that is where I race. My proposal is not for the local or national federation to enforce, but for promoters to see the benefits and adopt it at their own free will. […]
