Cool, thanks Skibby. I'll be interested in seeing what their proposal amounts to. Keep us informed.

Lets see the proposal before we come to conclusions.

But, with $20,000 and growing in an account, I believe the MCF can do more than it currently is doing (which is a fair amount with its loan program for new clubs, and trailer at the track).

The MCF is doing things for its membership, I would like to see the MCF do more for its promoters (the source of the income) and I feel that it is slowly developing strategies to do that.

The most visible example of MCF improvement at this time is the upgrade in the website.

THey're not asking for financial support. I believe, and this is only through conversations that they would see if the MCF wants to subsidize or help riders obtain chips. But I guess we won't know until we see an actual proposal...

Sorry I can’t make the next meeting…

Are they looking to get financial support from the MCF? If the MCF gets involved financially would that mean every MCF race would have to use this service? What happens if a race promoter doesn't want to use the service? OR they want to take their services to other sports like Tris, Mt Biking, Running? Would the MCF then get some portion of the profit?

I think it gets tricky when MCF funds get involved.

I don't think the MCF should get involved financially.

BUT if the MCF does get involved financially and the promoters have to use the service, I think the service should be included within the MCF rider surcharge. Then I don’t under stand why they are starting a business…

Am I missing something here? School me.

Andrew,
I think the comments are great. They're certainly relevant to the content to the podcast. That's really what we want to comments section to be. Feedback, discussion and debate on bikethrow content.

Thanks for tuning in,
Frye

My understanding is that Popp and Delaney are putting together a business plan and will present it at the next MCF meeting...

I think you misunderstood my MCF suggestion. Let me rephrase for those that are not promoters...I believe the MCF should FINANCIALLY help Pop & Delaney to make it easier for them, the riders, promoters, and the entire MCF community which does not involve Texas.
