Alas, all good things must come to an end.  It is with great regret that we announce that bikethrow.com will be turning out the lights on this production.  No it wasn’t the economy, the long hard winter, or the rising cost of health care that brought about our demise.  To be honest, the rapid rise of bikethrow created this huge beast that demanded to be fed and we were running out of bodies.  Life’s challenges of family, work, school, training, blogging, and guitar hero proved to be too much for our ambitious crew. 

The lights were dimmed to test the waters and with few new stories and very few podcasts and no one seemed to care.  The writing was on the wall.  Our flame had burned brightly but the demand had faded.  With the season on the horizon things might have picked up but the demands of racing would have only spread us even thinner.

When asked to comment on the doors closing the staff had this to say:

Andy Frye - “I just want to thank all the devoted readers and listeners who I was able to entertain, inform, inspire, and piss off.”

Darrin Homme - “Uh, umm … ” (interrrupted by Rookie)

Super Rookie (Tim Hayes) - “I’m obviously disappointed to not have another outlet for shameless self promotion but you can always check out what I’m up to on my blog.”

Darrin Homme - “… umm, I feel more wiped than after my Coldsprints effort.  I just want to go to sleep.”

We say a very sincere thank you to everyone for a fun ride.  We’ll see you on the road.
