Historic Northfield was the scene for a perfect day for racing. The July 4th criterium was full of action and go for broke efforts.

The day started out with an amazing photo finish in the 50+ race when Dave Pramann of Silver Cycling came around Chris Black of Morgan Stanley/Specialized/24 HR Fitness for the win.

In the Master’s 35+ 3/4 race, Mark “Spanky” Kowaliw of Silver Cycling and Jerome Rewerts of All-9 Yards got clear of the field with about 17 laps to go and never looked back. With no organized chase in the pack, the duo built a huge gap and Kowaliw took the win when he rode clear of Rewerts.

In the Men’s 4/5 race, recently updgraded Adam Koble made a decisive move on the last lap and was well clear of the rest of the field exiting the final turn and easily took the win.

Chris Black redeemed himself after getting edged in the 50+ race by taking home the top prize in the 35+ Open race.

In the Pro 1/2 race, Adam Bergman of Texas Roadhouse won for the second straight week with Pete Hanna of Grand Performance and Patrick Horrigan of Loon State Cyclists a close second and third.
