The circle was unbroken as St. Cloud’s Granite City Days anchored the Granstay Criterium in a new location for 2008. The new course was a short loop around St. Cloud Tech High School and featured a tight, challenging final turn and made for some fast and exciting racing on Sunday.

Grandstay Sweeps Up at Synergy Time Trial

The Grandstay boys led by Ian Stanford swept the top 3 positions at the 2008 Synergy Time Trial in Washington County this morning. Daniel Casper and Brian Koeneman (sp?) rounded out the podium. Stanford’s time was a full 1min and 15seconds clear of Casper despite missing a turn half way through the race. Team Synergy riders Aric Hareland and Tim Mulrooney made the top 5 with Jim Cullen on the outside of the group in 6th place, but taking the honors for the Masters 35+ Open field.
