That definitely was a close finish to watch! From my point of view (behind the lead 3 women), I could see that Seana and Patricia were close side by side going across the line, but the officials ruled it as a fair sprint. According to spectators, the shoulder to shoulder bump happened after the two women crossed the line. In regards to sprinting in the saddle, Seana has some serious power! Congratulations on the BTOW/FOW Seana!

Thanks for getting things back on track Dan.

Failed to mention that he also did a lot of work to pull back the solo break that was off the front from lap 2. They/he should have given that rider the prime prize.

Thanks for the info Dan.

I've added the complete sequence from our crack staff photographer.

Looked like a clean one to me. The amazing this was is that Seana pulled it off without getting out of the saddle - wow!

I'm a bit conflicted on the free lap issue. When I registered that morning they were behind in time already with the start of the juniors races. The registration table then informed me that all of the races were moving back to the original time of 15 minutes later. In fact while I was there they inked out the earlier times on the flier at the registration table and marked 15 minutes later on all of the start times.
As I was warming up I kept looping by the course and noticed that the finishes were finishing earlier than what I thought they would. Having noticed this I wanted to make sure I got some warm up on the course and made sure I was there in plenty of time to get a few warm up laps in.
So I can understand what happened, but on the same hand it is our responsibility as racers to make sure we are aware of what is going on. If it was a lap I probably would not have cared at all, but the officials letting him in after we had done 4 hard laps was an incorrect decision in my opinion. I definitely think it was bad form for him to take the prime.

I believe there was a bit of post-race protest on this one.

If you could turn the photo 90deg, you'd see they are attached at the shoulders.

Good racing for sure.

Pramann commenting on bikethrow.com? Wow, have we jumped the shark?

:)

Pramann is my favorite 50+ rider. It is because he is amazingly fast, despite what he says on this website!

Wow, Pramann commented! We're mainstream now! BTW - I thoroughly enjoy racing with your sorry aging ass.

Guess everyone thinks getting four free laps to start a crit is cool???

Huh? Inserting a fresh perspective: Am pretty sure I'm fairly lame right now on a two wheeler, and have heard Mr. Scott F has unfortunate health anomalies. This would mean at least several of the nice ladies available in the W123 field likely could logically trounce our sorry, horrible, aging asses. At least mine. Thank Goodness they separated us. And Thank You promoters for a nice race. Did you know my dad graduated from St. Cloud Tech (which we raced around) in 1936? Cool, and Party On!

Good points H-Wood.

Strats, thanks for agreeing with Homme and I that Rookie is lazy. :)

And here I thought "Let's Ask Homme" would get some comments. I'm glad this issue has drawn some attention and the candid feedback is appreciated.

Womens Open sounds great! the ladies 4's was a good one ta watch, and I'm sure they'd love ta try a round with the top ladies. Next year fer the calander I think duling ROY races on the same weekend should not happenl, unless part of some togetherness type stage race thing, and There should not be conflict with MNSCS vs. ROY. It can't be as difficult as it sounds but then again?
